A new natural-gas fired power plant is being built near Swift Current to help Saskatchewan meet its growing demand for power.
The plant will be built on a 158 acre site with the plan for it to be producing power by 2019. It will produce 350 megawatts of electricity, and is needed due to the ever increasing demand in growing Saskatchewan.
